Kendal Town Sign Striker
Kendal Town have signed Anthony Murt from Skelmersdale Utd. The 6ft 2 striker goes straight into the squad for the game against Marine tomorrow night. Murt moved from Colwyn Bay to Skelmersdale for a four figure sum early this year and was an instant success, laying on 4 goals in his first match and scoring the winner in his second. An important part of Skelmersdale's promotion push last season he is noted for his unselfish play and will be an excellent addition to the Kendal Town team.

Kendal Town v Sunderland

Sunderland Football Club have announced that they are to bring four full internationals to tomorrow night’s game against Kendal Town. Those added to an already strong squad include Swedish striker, Rade Prica, the front man has played 13 times for his country and scored two goals prompting Roy Keane to spend over £2 million pounds for the player in last seasons January transfer window. Also confirmed is Republic of Ireland pair Paul McShane and Graham Kavanagh. Kavanagh joined the Black Cats from Wigan in August 2006 having played all but three of Wigan’s 2006/2006 Premiership games, while 22-year-old defender McShane joined Sunderland from West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £2.5 million. Completing the quartet is Russell Anderson, the Scottish international centre back missed most of last season with an injury. But Roy Keane recently re-iterated his confidence in the player who he signed from Aberdeen for £1 million pounds in 2007. Kick off tomorrow is at 7:30pm"

Kendal Town 3 v Barrow AFC 2

Kendal Town's best pre season performance to date was marred by a sickening injury to Barrow's right back Lee Woodyatt, a freak accident that left the Barrow player having to leave the field by ambulence. Everyone at Kendal Town wish him a full and speedy recovery. The game itself was a cracker. Barrow opened the scoring on just 6 minutes when Jason Walker finished neatly. Kendal Town deservedly levelled on 19 minutes when Gareth Arnison turned and shot in from the edge of the area. The second half saw some great goals, on 68 minutes Barrow's front man Lee Hunt scored a superb goal when he lifted the ball over Kendal 'keeper David Newnes. But Kendal Town kept going and played some brilliant football and player/manager Lee Ashcroft made it 2-2 on 71 minutes. The best goal of the game was converted by Carl Osman on 77 minutes following a fantastic build up move. A great game spoiled by an unfortunate incident 4 minutes from time.

Kendal Town - David Newnes, Jimmy Williams, Danny Wisdom, Tony Hallam (Captain), Jon Forbes, Gary Baker, Carl Osman GOAL 77, Craig Hobson, Gareth Arnison GOAL 19, Ian Kilford, Lee Mulvaney, Subs Alex Taylor, Lee Ashcroft GOAL 71, Callum Warburton, George Melling, Zac Clarke , ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Att. 200

Kendal Town 1 v Hyde United 2
Another good run out for Town, especially in a scoreless first half in which they were the better side. However Hyde took the lead shortly after the break and doubled it midway through the half. Kendal got a late consolation goal from a Gareth Arnison penalty on 89 min.
